Attorney Sheila D. Norman
Sheila D. Norman, Esquire is the founding partner of the law firm, Sheila D. Norman, P.A., established in 1993. In 2004, the firm moved its main office to Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa. The firm has since opened additional offices in Spring Hill and Dade City. In 2005, Mr. Bullington joined the firm as a partner and the firm name was changed to Norman and Bullington, P.A.
Ms. Norman is a 1989 graduate of Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida and has been practicing bankruptcy law since 1991, including two years representing primarily Creditors in foreclosures and bankruptcy litigation. Since then, Ms. Norman has represented primarily Debtors and has filed or been involved with litigating hundreds of cases under Chapter 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Ms. Norman also handles general civil litigation, divorce cases and Social Security matters.
Ms. Norman is board certified in the area of Consumer Bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification, having met or exceeded rigorous certification standards relating to experience, continuing legal education, integrity and peer review in addition to demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of bankruptcy law. Ms. Norman is a member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, an Associate member of the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Attorney Walter G. Bullington, Jr.
Walter G. Bullington, Jr., Esquire joined the firm as a partner in 2005, bringing with him over seven years of experience in working with the Tampa Division Chapter 13 Standing Trustees. He was the senior Chapter 13 Staff attorney for Jon Waage, at the time he departed the Chapter 13 Trustee's Office. Mr. Bullington attended meetings and hearings regarding thousands of Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases becoming intimately familiar with the requirements of a successful Chapter 13 case and the concerns of the Chapter 13 Trustees and staff attorneys. Mr. Bullington continued to work on a part time basis with the Office of the Chapter 13 Trustee until April of 2010.
Mr. Bullington is a 1989 graduate, cum laude, of the Mercer University School of Law. Mr. Bullington also received an advanced tax law degree from the University of Florida in 1991, representing an additional year of study after law school dedicated to learning how to assist client in dealing with tax problems. Before joining the Chapter 13 Trustee's offices Mr. Bullington worked in private practice, gaining experience in dealing with consumer bankruptcy matters, tax matters, wills, trusts and estate planning.
Mr. Bullington is a member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
