Eugene Kadish
Serving clients in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe,
Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert and the West Valley.
In today’s fast-paced business environment, where a single mouse-click can instantly transfer millions of dollars or a warehouse full of merchandise, you and your fellow business owners might feel understandably overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude and speed of the transformation in virtually every aspect of doing business in the 21st century.
As a Business Law and Real Estate Attorney for over 30 years in Arizona, I have a comprehensive understanding of the needs of both business and individual clients in a wide range of practice areas, including:
- Business Law
- Contractual Transactions and Litigation
- Corporations and Limited Liability Company Law
- Business Start-ups (Originations) and Choice of Entity
- Small Business
- Mediation/Arbitration/Alternative Dispute Resolution
- Business Formation
- Buying and Selling of Businesses
- Negotiations
- Real Estate Law
- Commercial Landlord-Tenant Disputes
- Real Estate Purchases and Sales
- Complex Financing Transactions
- Asset Protection
Representative clients include local and regional restaurateurs, home builders, commercial developers, real estate brokers, property managers, and convenience store owners. Over the past three decades, I have helped dozens of business startups incorporate or form limited liability companies, 50 in the past six years alone. While I do not generally litigate matters on behalf of clients, I can, in many cases, resolve disputes through negotiated settlements acceptable to the parties without resorting to costly court action. I have served for several years as an impartial arbitrator or mediator, both court ordered and on an informal basis, dealing with a range of business and other legal disputes.
Early in my career, I owned and managed a construction-related business having a work force of over 100 employees. This practical experience guides my approach to serving clients. My commitment is to provide legal services at a reasonable cost based on anticipated results, whether the objective is minimizing exposure or generating income.
In addition to my Business Law practice, Real Estate Law experience includes negotiating, documenting, and closing transactions, as well as preparing purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds, promissory notes, financing instruments, and other documents dealing with real estate matters, both simple and complex. I am often called upon to counsel with fellow lawyers, escrow officers, and other real estate professionals concerning complicated real estate transactions.
Committed to community service, I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the non-profit Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest, a public interest law firm, and as consultant to Arizona State University’s PRISM/ InnovationSpace Consortium. In past years I have served on numerous non-profit and for profit boards including Tempe Chapter of the Salvation Army, Mill Avenue Merchants Association, Tempe Arts Center, and New Times, Inc.
I was instrumental in organizing Downtown Tempe Community, Inc., the Mill Avenue District (“MAD”) in downtown Tempe, and served as its initial Executive Director. My service also includes past appointments to a number of governmental boards and commissions such as Tempe Sponsorship Review Committee, Tempe Municipal Arts Commission, and Arizona Historical Advisory Commission.
My clients know that I am committed to providing honest and straightforward advice, legal as well as practical, concerning business and real estate matters. They also know that I employ a professional support staff, engage contract attorneys and provide referrals—when necessary or appropriate—for a wide range of legal and professional services. So when challenged with a legal matter that involves business or real estate issues, my clients know that their first step is to call my Firm.
