The Mexican Consulate is an official branch of the government that operates offices in foreign countries. Its duties are focused around helping citizens living or traveling in foreign countries who have legal and other problems. The Mexican Consulate operates many offices in the U.S. since so many of the country’s citizens work in the U.S. Of course, many of its citizens also come to the U.S. illegally and are in need of services from their home government when dealing with U.S. laws and legal system issues.
