Civil Rights Lawyers
Civil rights can be said to be naturally derived by our Constitution. However, in modern times the term Civil Rights is most closely associated with the protection of minorities, particularly African Americans. This movement of the 1960’s was given strength, in part, by several legal cases decided by the Supreme court that expanded the government’s ability to prevent discrimination by people and businesses. Since then, many disadvantaged groups have sought similar protections, including the elderly, women and homosexuals.
