Grand Jury Indictment Lawyers
A special group is sometimes appointed to hear the initial facts of a case to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to issue a charge against someone. This group may issue a grand jury indictment, holding the case over for trial and begins the formal trial process. It is important to understand that a grand jury indictment is not a conviction. It is simply a determination that sufficient evidence of a crime exists such that the defendant can be formally charged.
