What Are The Rights And Privileges Associated With A New York State Life Broker License?
Section 2104(b)(1)(A) of the New York State Insurance Code establishes the right for a licensee to perform the same services as a life, accident & health agent licensed pursuant to Section 2103(a). The license will authorize persons to solicit coverage in the lines for which they’re qualified: life, accident and health, and variable annuities. The Life Broker represents the insured, while the life agent represents the insurer. Sense April, 2001, the Licensing Services Bureau has been prepared to accept applications and issue licenses to those qualified to act as live brokers.
