Attorney Victor Pasternack

Victor Pasternack is the managing partner emeritus of Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton and Romano, LLP, a firm concentrating in workers' compensation, Social Security disability, civil service pension, and personal injury. Mr. Pasternack brings over 41 years of experience in the field of workers' compensation law and is well known in the legal community for his expertise in this area.

He received his B.A. from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1970 and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1975. He has been a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association since 1978 and has served on its Board of Directors since 1987. Now serving as an emeritus member, he has been elected deputy treasurer, treasurer and secretary of the association. In 1988, he received the Distinguished Service Award of the Association.

Mr. Pasternack is also a founding member of the Injured Workers' Bar Association, has chaired the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association and has also served as the New York State Captain for Workers Compensation for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now, the American Association for Justice). He is past president of the New York State Workers' Compensation Bar Association and member of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group and the New York State Bar Association, Insurance Personal Injury and Compensation Law Section, Workers Compensation Division. He also serves on the Board of Directors of WILG- Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group- A national organization of advocates for injured workers rights.


Attorney Edgar N. Romano

Mr. Romano, managing partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers compensation cases for the firm.

He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Brandeis University and his Juris Doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School. Mr. Romano litigates workers compensation claims, including cases involving occupational exposure, asbestos and industrial irritants. He has lectured extensively to labor unions and medical providers.

Mr. Romano is a Past President of the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group and current President of the Society of New York Workers Compensation Bar Association. He is a member of the Leader's Forum of the American Association for Justice and Past Chair of the workers compensation section. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Jewish Lawyer's Guild, and New York Committee for Occupational Safety & Health (NYCOSH). Mr. Romano serves on the Advisory Committee of the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring Program at Mt. Sinai Hospital and on the Advisory Board of the I.J. Selikoff Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He is listed in "Who's Who in American Law."

Mr. Romano was named a Fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation in March 2015. Fellows are attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their practice in the field of workers' compensation.

Mr. Romano was selected to the Super Lawyers list for 2021 in the area of workers compensation by Super Lawyers magazine. He received this award each year between 2010-2020, as well.

Attorney Catherine M. Stanton

Catherine Stanton is a senior partner at the New York firm of Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP and head of the firm's workers' compensation department. The firm has been representing injured workers for over 80 years and focuses primarily on workers' compensation and social security disability claims.

Ms. Stanton graduated magna cum laude from St. John's University in 1986 and the Marshall Wythe School of Law, at the College of William and Mary, in 1989. She began working with the firm as an attorney in 1990 and became a partner in 1998. Ms. Stanton served as President of WILG, Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group from 2012-2013 which is a national non-profit membership organization dedicated to representing the interests of millions of workers and their families who, each year, suffer the consequences of workplace injuries and illnesses. Ms. Stanton is the past Chair of the Workers' Compensation Section for the American Association for Justice, a national organization that supports plaintiff trial lawyers.

Locally, Ms. Stanton was recently installed as a director for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. She is a past president of the Society of New York Workers Compensation' Bar Association which is a bipartisan organization compromised of attorneys representing all parties to a workers' compensation claim to work toward common goals. She is currently the Vice President of the Brehon Law Society of Nassau County which is focused on monitoring and eradication of violations of human rights and civil liberties principally but not exclusively in the north of Ireland.

Ms. Stanton has been named to the Super Lawyers list in the area of workers’ compensation by Super Lawyers magazine each year from 2007-2021.


Attorney Barbara Doblin Tilker

Ms. Tilker, a senior partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handled Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income claims for the firm, on a high volume basis for both adults and children.

She is a graduate of New York University and St. John's University School of Law. Admitted Appellate Division, 2nd Department: State of NY: January 1978. Eastern District and Southern District of New York: April 1978 Admitted United States Supreme Court: January 2010.

Ms. Tilker has concentrated for more than thirty years in Social Security Disability law and has served two terms as President of the New York Social Security Bar Association from 1990-1994. She is presently a Trustee of this organization.

She was named in New York Super Lawyers of the Metro Region, in the practice area of Social Security Disability for the years 2007-2014 and has lectured extensively to groups for the disabled including the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Arthritis Foundation. In addition, Super Lawyers in March 2015 named Ms. Tilker to its Top 100 list of female lawyers in the New York metro region. A year earlier, she was listed as one of the Top Women Attorneys in New York. We are very proud that she and another partner, Catherine M. Stanton, have been chosen for this honor.

She has appeared on public service radio and cable television on the topic of Social Security Disability and is presently on the panel of the Legal Referral Service of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York in the practice area of Social Security Disability.


Attorney Kevin P. Walsh

Mr. Walsh, a senior partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers compensation cases for the firm.

He obtained his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany and his Law Degree from Pace University Law School, and has been associated with the firm since 1980.

He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Catholic Lawyers Guild and the Brehon Law Society. Mr. Walsh is a past President and current officer of the Workers Compensation Bar Association and has served on the association's Board of Directors.

He has also been a long-standing member of the New York Coalition on Occupational Safety and Health and serves on their Workers Compensation Committee. He has lectured extensively on workers compensation to various labor organizations.

Attorney Jordan A. Ziegler

Mr. Ziegler, a senior partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers compensation, personal injury and Social Security disability claims for the firm, as well as civil service disability retirement pensions from the New York City and New York State and local retirement systems. He serves as chair to the law firm's Civil Service Disability Retirement Pension Department.

He received his law degree from The Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College in New York, and received his undergraduate bachelor's degree from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of New York and is an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, as well as the New York State, the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO), and the New York Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH).

Mr. Ziegler is disability counsel for numerous police and law enforcement associations and Police Benevolent Associations throughout New York State, as well as for utility worker and building trade unions. He is Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association Legal Benefit Fund Legal services provider, general counsel to the Suffolk County Police Columbia Association, Suffolk County Police Asian Jade Society, and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, Riverhead, NY. He is Disability counsel to the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association, NYS Troopers Police Benevolent Association, Southampton Town Police Benevolent Association, and many other law enforcement unions and associations.

Jordan serves as the Vice-Chair of the Advisory Board of Occupational & Environmental Medicine of Long Island at the Northwell Health/ North Shore-LIJ Health System. He serves on the NYC Advisory board of the Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health, World Trade Center Health Program, Department of Environment Medicine and Public Health at Mount Sinai-Selikoff and the NYU/Bellevue occupational and environmental clinics on workers compensation in New York.


Attorney Matthew Funk

Mr. Funk, senior partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers compensation cases for the firm.

He received his undergraduate degree from Albany University in 1995 and later went on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1998. He has been practicing law since 1999 and became a partner at the firm in 2007. He is the current President of the  New York Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA). He is also the Co-Chair of the NYSTLA Workers' Compensation Committee and a member of the Legislative Committee, No-Fault Committee and Labor Law Committee.  Since 1999, he has written for the NYSTLA Decisions program. He has lectured at the Decisions program for the past two years on the topic of Workers' Compensation.

Matthew serves on the Executive Board of the Injured Workers Bar Association, participating in online round table discussions regarding the rights of injured workers. He is a Workers Compensation Committee member of the New York Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH). Matthew regularly lectures on the workers compensation law to various labor organizations. Currently, he is actively engaged in extensive workers compensation litigation.

In 2017, Matthew was honored with a City & State Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Law sector.


Attorney Robert Saminsky

Mr. Saminsky, a partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers compensation cases for the firm.

He graduated with a B.B.A. from Hofstra University in 1969, a master's of science degree from CCNY in 1971 and earned his Law Degree at St. John's University Law School in 1975.

A former criminal litigation attorney, Robert has a reputation as being a tenacious advocate with over 30 years of experience. He was a past member of the New York State Workers Compensation Board Committee on Medical Authorizations. He has lectured extensively to the members of various Labor Unions and Law Enforcement Organizations about workers compensation injuries and occupational disease.

Mr. Saminsky is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Workers Compensation Bar Association and the Queens County Bar Association. He is listed in "Who's Who in American Law," and "Who's Who in Society."

Mr. Saminsky was once again named to the Super Lawyers list in the area of workers’ compensation in 2019 by Super Lawyers Magazine. This is his ninth time being recognized.


Attorney Christopher D. Latham

Mr. Latham, a partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles Social Security Disability, real estate, estate, trusts and commercial matters for the firm.

He received his B.A. from the University of Arizona in 1975 and his Juris Doctorate degree from New York Law School in 1979. Concentrating in the firm's Social Security Disability and commercial department, he litigates disability claims and commercial matters and handles real estate, trusts and estate matters.

Mr. Latham chairs the Committee on Legislation and Governmental Regulations for the Estates, Trusts and Surrogates Court Practice Section of the New York County Lawyers Association. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and frequently lectures on wills, estate planning, and Social Security Disability for its Speakers Bureau. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, serving on the Executive Board of the Social Security Disability Section, and a contributor to its newsletter. He is also a member of the New York Social Security Bar Association, the Catholic Lawyers Guild and the Brehon Law Society.

Mr. Latham was named to the Super Lawyers list for 2016 by Super Lawyers Magazine. He received that prestigious designation again from 2019-2021.


Attorney Michael Gruber

Mr. Gruber, a partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers compensation cases for the firm.

He is a graduate of Michigan State University in 1991 and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Denver College of Law in 1995.

Mr. Gruber has been a workers compensation lawyer since 1996. In addition to litigating workers compensation claims, he oversees the Workers Compensation Appellate Division practice at the firm and has been successful in numerous appeals to the New York State Appellate Division, Third Department.

Mr. Gruber has been the chairman of the Workers Compensation Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association since 2012. In 2018, he was named a Fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers. Mr. Gruber is a member of the Injured Workers Bar Association and the Workers Compensation Alliance, organizations focusing on workers compensation issues in New York. Mr. Gruber is a Past President and serves on the Board of Directors of the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group, a national organization dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers. Attorney Kelly Koster

Kelly Koster has been a partner with Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP since 2017, following 22 years as a senior associate with the firm. She concentrates her practice on workers' compensation cases, managing all phases of claims including section 32 settlements, occupational claims, and death claims. Attorney Koster is also the supervising attorney in our Suffolk County office.

Attorney Koster graduated from St. John's University in 1990 and received her Juris Doctorate degree at St. John's University School of Law in 1993. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York's Second Judicial Department.

She has lectured to doctors and labor unions about the changes in the system and how to protect their patients and members in a changing climate.


Attorney Stephanie L. Weiner

Stephanie L. Weiner received her undergraduate degree from the University at Albany in 1997 and later went on to earn her Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2000. A partner at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP since 2017, Ms. Weiner first joined the firm in 2003 after working as an attorney for the City of New York for three years. She has been part of the workers' compensation department since joining the firm and currently works out of the firm's Bronx office. Stephanie is a member of the Bronx chapter of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York. She is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Brooklyn Women's Bar Association.


Attorney J. Anklowitz

Mr. Anklowitz is an associate at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, representing clients in Social Security Disability matters.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from the College of New Jersey in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1998 where he was President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. For his leadership, the club was presented with the Organization of the Year Award.

He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Florida and in the Federal Courts of the Eastern District of New York and the District of New Jersey. As a Social Security Disability Attorney, he is able to represent Social Security Disability claimants in all 50 states as well as all United States territories and protectorates.

Mr. Anklowitz brings 20 years of experience to the firm. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate at other large national disability firms handling hundreds of claims annually.  He is also engaged in the general practice of law representing clients in Commercial Litigation, Securities Litigation, Estates, Wills and Trusts, Criminal Defense, Contracts, Personal Injury, and Bankruptcy.

Mr. Anklowitz volunteers regularly to assist Veterans in their legal and personal needs.  He regularly attends and organizes events intended to assist veterans, including fund raising, visiting nursing homes, funerals, memorials, and even going to Veterans' homes to provide counsel on personal matters.  Mr. Anklowitz is a Past-Commander of the Sons of the American Legion and Past-Judge Advocate for his local American Legion Post.


Attorney Dimitris Antoninis

Dimitris Antoninis, an associate with Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers' compensation cases for the firm. He has been a practicing attorney since May 2021.

Dimitris earned his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law in May 2020. During law school, Dimitris participated in a school-run clinic which provided free legal aid to low-income Queens residents dealing with consumer debt issues. Before obtaining his law degree, Dimitris graduated magna cum laude from Stonybrook University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Hellenic Studies.


Attorney Lynne Beccaro

Ms. Beccaro received scholarships to attend Fordham University, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science/Psychology/Sociology, and Seton Hall School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate. While attending Seton Hall Law, Ms. Beccaro was selected to write the case for the 1987/88 Moot Court Competition.

Before joining the Firm, Ms. Beccaro was an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County specializing in narcotics and homicide prosecutions. She then went on to personal injury and medical malpractice litigation and to be a managing attorney. During her career, Ms. Beccaro tried in excess of 120 cases to verdict.

Ms. Beccaro has been an adjunct professor of law and psychology at Mercy College for over 24 years. She has taught a wide range of courses including Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, Criminal Law, Business Law, Family Violence and the Death Penalty in America. She is licensed in NY and CT.


Attorney Richard T. Cahill Jr.

Richard T. Cahill Jr., an associate attorney with Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers' compensation and volunteer firefighter benefits cases for the firm.

He received his undergraduate degree in History/Political Science from Mount Saint Mary College in 1993 and earned his juris doctorate degree in 1996 from Albany Law School. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the United States Federal District Court for the Northern District of New York. He previously served as the representative for the Ulster County Bar Association in the House of Delegates for the New York State Bar Association.

He previously served as a Fire Commissioner in the City of Kingston, New York from 2012-2016, and is an active social member of A.H. Wicks Engine & Truck Company, the oldest volunteer fire company in the City of Kingston.

For many years, he served as an Attorney Advisor for the Coleman High School Mock Trial Team. He is also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  He is currently training for his black belt in judo.

Cahill has written three books.  The first, entitled Hauptmann's Ladder: A Step-by-Step Analysis of the Lindbergh Kidnapping, has been described as "the definitive examination of the Lindbergh case" and was awarded the Gold Medal prize as 2014 IndieFab True Crime Book of the Year.

His second book, Sidetracked, The Betrayal and Murder of Anna Kithcart, was awarded the Honorable Mention prize as 2017 IndieFab True Crime Book of the Year.


Attorney Crystal T. Stewart

Crystal Stewart earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and a Juris Doctorate degree from University of Illinois College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey and has over ten years experience in the field of workers compensation and personal injury law.

She has made presentations to physicians at the Mount Sinai Hospital Occupational Medicine Clinic and the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program, as well as to community physicians specializing in treatment of injured workers. Ms. Stewart has lectured extensively on workers compensation to various labor organizations and unions. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Brooklyn Women's Bar Association and Practicing Attorneys for Law Students Program.


Attorney Christina Collins

Ms. Collins, an associate with Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano LLP, handles workers compensation cases for the firm. She graduated from NYU in 2008 and Chapman University School of Law in 2011. She is admitted to the Bar in the states of New York, New Jersey and California. She is a member of the Westchester and Rockland County Bar Associations and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Collins was named to the Rising Stars list in the area of workers’ compensation by Super Lawyers magazine in 2020 and 2021.


Attorney Peter DiMarinis

Peter J. DiMarinis practices in the workers’ compensation division at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP. He is a graduate of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University where he was the recipient of the Scott Skodnick merit scholarship for academic excellence.  He earned his Juris Doctorate from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. In law school, he worked at the Law Center’s Not-For-Profit Corporate Law Clinic helping local organizations with corporate tax filings.

Prior to joining Pasternack, Peter previously worked as a workers’ compensation trial attorney and commercial litigation attorney.  He also interned at American Home Investment Corp. in the corporate legal department.

Peter currently serves on the Board of Directors for the statewide Injured Workers’ Bar Association where he holds the position of 2nd Vice President. He previously served as Secretary on the executive board of said Association. He has been named a Lawyer of Distinction for excellence in practice of Workers’ Compensation Law for the years 2017-2021. Peter is a frequent guest lecturer at local bar associations, continuing legal education seminars, labor organizations and medical facilities.


Attorney Sean Hastings

Sean Hastings, an associate with Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers' compensation cases for the firm. He has been a practicing attorney since January 2018.

Sean earned a B.S. in legal studies from the University of Central Florida. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, Sean earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in May of 2017.

During his last year in law school, Sean participated in expungement clinics and volunteered at the local legal aid office helping residents retain their social security benefits. Sean is a member of the New York State Bar Association.


Attorney Courtney L. Kahoud

Courtney L. Kahoud was a merit scholarship recipient and received her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 2012. She is admitted to practice law in both New York, New Jersey and pending admission in Florida.

Before pursuing her law degree, Ms. Kahoud graduated with Dean's List recognition from Stony Brook University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in both political science and history.

Ms. Kahoud specializes in the area of workers compensation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the areas of creditors rights, personal injury and family law. Ms. Kahoud is a zealous advocate for injured workers and an animal advocate in her spare time.


Attorney Alan Karmazin

Mr. Karmazin is an associate at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, representing clients in Social Security Disability matters. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Stockton University and his Juris Doctor from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

Attorney Paul Macerino

Mr. Macerino, as associate at Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles worker's compensation matters, as well as civil service disability retirement pensions from the New York City, New York State and local retirement systems.

He received his law degree from The Jacob D. Lynette Morrow is an associate of Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP and handles Social Security disability matters for the firm.

Attorney Robert Stanton

Robert Stanton has been with Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP since June 2011, and he has been a practicing attorney with the firm since June of 2015. Robert earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Analysis and a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY: University at Buffalo in June of 2011. After graduating from SUNY Buffalo, Robert obtained his J.D. from St. John's University: School of Law in June of 2015, where he graduated Cum Laude and received the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property Law- Trademarks & Unfair Competition, St. Vincent De Paul Economic Justice Clinic Award, and a Pro Bono Service Award.

During his last year in law school, Robert was a member of the inaugural class of the Pro Bono Scholars Program. This program, developed by Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman, allowed qualified law students to take the New York Bar Exam during their third year of law school in return for 500 hours of full-time pro bono service. Robert completed his pro bono placement at the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG), where he aided low-income and disabled New Yorkers in the process of obtaining and maintaining their SNAP, Medicaid, and cash benefits.

Robert is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association as well as the New York State Bar Association. He was named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for 2021.


Attorney Alix Zargar

Ms. Zargar, an associate with Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP, handles workers compensation matters for the firm. She earned her undergraduate degree from Lehigh University in 2017 and a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2020. Attorney Andrew Ziemianski

Andrew earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in the Classics from SUNY: University at Buffalo in June of 2012. While at St. John's University School of Law, Andrew was the executive publications editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Additionally, Andrew was a legal intern for the Consumer Justice for the Elderly: Litigation Clinic, where he defended the elderly in foreclosure proceedings.

Andrew is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association as well as the New York State Bar Association.
