Wage & Hour Laws -- Employee

What are the rules on final paychecks in Arkansas?

Generally, under Arkansas Code § 11-4-405, an employer must issue a final paycheck to a terminated employee within seven (7) days, so long as the employee demands or request payment. Otherwise, the employer can issue the final paycheck on the next regularly scheduled pay date. An employee who quits his or her job is not entitled to a final paycheck until the next regularly scheduled pay date, so long as there is not a written agreement between the employer and employee to the contrary.
