Wage & Hour Laws -- Employee

What are the rules on final paychecks in Alaska?

Generally, when an employee is fired, the employer must pay all monies owed to the employee within three (3) business days.

Additionally, an employee who quits his or her job is not entitled to a final paycheck until the next regularly scheduled pay date at least three (3) days after notice of the employee's termination of employment. (Alaska Statute 23.05.140)
