Right To Vote Law

What are the requirements to be eligible to vote in Texas state and local elections?

Under Texas law, you must be a U.S. citizen, and must be at least eighteen years of age or older on the date of the next election. You cannot vote in Texas if you are a convicted felon, unless you have completed your sentence, parole, or term of probation for your felony conviction. Additionally, you must not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court.
