What are the requirements to be eligible to vote in Nevada state and local elections?
Under Nevada law, you must be a U.S. citizen, and must be at least eighteen years of age or older on the date of the next election. You also must be a resident of the state of Nevada for at least thirty (30) days before registering to vote. Additionally, you must not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court. You are not eligible to register and vote if you are a convicted felon and have not had your civil rights restored; however, Nevada law now provides for automatic restoration of civil rights for those who have been honorably discharged from prison, probation, and/or parole, with the exception of those people who have been convicted of certain types of serious crimes.
