When do I need to update my voter registration in the state of Louisiana?

If you move within the same Louisiana parish, or if you change your name, you must notify your local Registrar of Voters office of the changes to your voter registration information. However, if you move to another Louisiana parish, you must complete a new voter registration application in your new parish at least thirty (30) days prior to the election in order to be eligible to vote in that election.
