What are the requirements to be eligible to vote in Kentucky state and local elections?
In order to vote under Kentucky law, you must be a U.S. citizen, at least eighteen (18) years of age on Election Day, and a resident of Kentucky for at least twenty-eight (28) days prior to the election. You cannot register to vote if you are a convicted felon, unless you have had your civil rights restored. You also cannot register to vote if you have been declared mentally incompetent by a court of law, and had your voting rights removed, or if you claim the right to vote anywhere outside the state of Kentucky.
