Right To Vote Law

What are the requirements to be eligible to vote in California state and local elections?

Under California law, you must meet several requirements in order to be able to vote in state and local elections. You must be a U.S. citizen, and a resident of California, who is eighteen years of age or older, or who will be eighteen years or older on the date of the next election. Additionally, you must not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction. Finally, you must not have been found to be mentally incompetent by a court.
