The Law Office of Mark F. Hyson, PLC
Washington Business & Commercial Law Firm
Mark’s business law practice handles a wide variety of matters. In addition to forming new business entities, Mark frequently represents clients in the structuring, reorganization, and termination of existing business.
Mark’s real estate law practice encompasses every phase of a real estate transactions, from the drafting of contracts to settlement, with Mark averaging over 200 settlements per year. He frequently handles everything from routine residential sales and refinances, to complex commercial transactions utilizing complex funding mechanisms. He has been recognized as a Top Lawyer in Real Estate Law by Northern Virginia Magazine.
In Mark’s estate planning practice, he strives to determine the strategies necessary to achieve his client’s goals and desires. While many situations call for nothing more sophisticated than a simple will, there are also times when a living revocable trust should be employed. Living revocable trusts are excellent tools for many situations, including where there is a high likelihood of incompetency of the creator of the trust or a need to protect an inheritance from a child (or child’s spouse) that is poor at managing money. Additional considerations such as probate avoidance and ease of administration will be thoroughly evaluated and discussed before a plan is devised.
