After graduating cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics in 1980, Richard continued on to Seton Hall University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1983. That same year, he was admitted to bar in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court, and the District of New Jersey, and in 1989 to the U.S. Supreme Court. Richard is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association; American Bar Association; Morris County Bar Association; Community Associations Institute (“CAI”); and Institute of Multi-Family Housing (Member: Transition Task Force, 1990).
He holds a special concentration in real estate and land use law, including common interest community association law and representation, representation of financial institutions regarding O.R.E.O. properties, and commercial workouts.
Richard also represents Municipal Planning Boards and Boards of Adjustment; has lectured on Community Association Law on behalf of the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and has served as an expert witness in Condominium Law cases.
John has been in practice for over 20 years. He received his J.D. from Fordham Law School in Manhattan in 1996 and is a United States Navy Veteran. John Breslin is actively involved in his community, participating in many charity and youth sports events and serving as a public defender for Sussex County. As your attorney, he specializes in matters of civil litigation, criminal defense, divorce and municipal court.
