Attorney Kelly A. Myers
Kelly A. Myers received her Bachelor of Arts from Alma College in 1990, where she majored in History and Business with a pre-law emphasis. She also studied at the London School of Economics while attaining her Bachelor of Arts.
In 1993, Ms. Myers received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit School of Law, and a Master of Business Administration, High Honors, from the University of Detroit. She was Executive Editor of the University of Detroit Law Review, served on the University of Detroit Moot Court Board of Directors and National Entertainment Team, was inducted into the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society and Order of the Barristers, was elected to serve in the American Inns of Court, and was awarded a Presidential Scholarship.
After receiving her J.D. and M.B.A., Ms. Myers clerked for the Honorable Steven W. Rhodes, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and served as an extern for the Honorable George E. Woods, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Ms. Myers was also an adjunct professor of Legal Writing at the University of Detroit School of Law.
In 2004, Ms. Myers started Myers & Myers, PLLC. Ms. Myers' practice focuses on real estate (transactional and litigation), commercial litigation, corporate law, creditor rights, bankruptcy and banking. Ms. Myers represents national lenders, title companies, real estate licensees, builders/contractors, small business entrepreneurs, mid-sized businesses and associations, including the Small Business Association of Michigan and the Home Builders Association of Livingston County.
Attorney Roger L. Myers
Roger L. Myers concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation and all real estate related matters, including zoning and land use, construction law, and property tax law.
Admitted to practice in Michigan and California, Mr. Myers is a member of both the State Bar of Michigan (and its Sections on Real Property Law, Business Law and Appellate Practice) and the State Bar of California. He is also a member of the Livingston County Bar Association.
Since 2007, Mr. Myers has been recognized each year as one of the Michigan SuperLawyers by Law & Politics Magazine. The SuperLawyers designation is an annual listing of the top 5% of attorneys in the state of Michigan as determined through a selection process based upon peer recognition and professional achievement. Mr. Myers is designated as one of the Michigan SuperLawyers in the practice areas of business litigation, real estate and zoning and land use law. As a result of his successful representation of clients in state and federal courts throughout Michigan, Mr. Myers was also selected in 2008 to become a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honor society comprised of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America is based upon an evaluation of the Fellow's accomplishments and ethical reputation as a trial lawyer.
Mr. Myers received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame in 1989 and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1992, where he was the recipient of the 1992 Frank S. Sengstock Law Review Award and the 1992 Corporate and Environmental Law Chmielnicki Scholarship. While in law school, Mr. Myers was a member of the National Trial Team and the National Environmental Team. He was a Case and Comment Editor for the University of Detroit Law Review (1991-1992), From 1993 to 1994, Mr. Myers served as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert P. Griffin of the Michigan Supreme Court.
Attorney Rebecca J. S. Cassell
Rebecca (Becky) specializes in real estate, environmental, and business matters, assisting private and public clients with the complexities of various transactional and operational issues to maximize efficiency and value. She serves on sophisticated and diverse matters, including real estate matters, permitting and regulatory compliance, remediation and cost-recovery for contaminated properties, and corporate matters.
For her business clients, Becky helps them navigate various aspects of ownership and operations. This includes corporate matters, contracts, litigation and trials, labor and employment disputes, enforcement and defense of non-competition agreements, real estate transactions, start-up issues, creditor actions, intellectual property and trademark applications, liquor license and regulatory matters, administrative hearings, appeals, and sale and merger transactions. With this business-based, common-sense approach, Becky frequently acts as her clients' "in-house counsel," often consulting on their operational legal concerns and working with their other professional service providers to achieve their goals.
As a respected member of the legal community, Becky also serves as a case evaluator and neutral mediator to help others resolve their legal disputes. Becky has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star by her peers and also received an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, being peer-rated and judicially rated for the highest level of professional excellence and ethical standing.
Becky practiced at a large, national firm before joining Myers & Myers, PLLC in 2011. Attorney Kristyn R. Mattern 
Kristyn focuses her practice on litigation, with an emphasis on state and federal employment discrimination and whistleblower/retaliation, real property and construction claims, and breach of contract claims. She also provides advice and counsel and represents clients on various business, employment, real property and immigration matters. Kristyn brings real trial experience to her clients and to each case.
After receiving her J.D., Kristyn practiced business immigration law with a firm in West Bloomfield, MI. There, she prepared and filed employment immigration visas and appeals including H-1B; L-1A; L-1B; TN; and H-4 visas, as well as provided advice and counsel to her clients on immigration matters. Kristyn then moved to an international labor and employment firm, where she focused her practice on employment litigation. There, Kristyn represented clients in state, federal and appellate courts, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; Michigan Department of Civil Rights; the National Labor Relations Board; and the Department of Labor.
Kristyn is uniquely positioned to represent large and small businesses (including those with employment liability insurance) as well as individuals with their employment, business, and real property needs.
Attorney Alexander R. Reuter
Alex is an experienced litigator, specializing in all areas of business, real estate, and commercial litigation. Much of Alex’s work focuses on complex zoning and land use cases and he has successfully represented both individuals and developers, appearing before municipalities and agency boards, and on appeal to both the circuit courts and the Michigan Court of Appeals. He has represented a variety of clients, including individuals, nonprofits, and religious institutions, in federal courts across the nation in cases involving constitutional and federal law violations against municipalities, and has appeared in cases in the federal courts of Michigan, New York, Kansas, Florida, and Texas. Alex also specializes in corporate and other business-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and business formation and succession planning.
In 2019, 2020, and 2021 Alex was named a “Rising Star” by Michigan Super Lawyers, which is an exclusive list of top-rated attorneys selected after being nominated by their peers and evaluated under numerous criteria. He graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he earned awards in the areas of Contract Law, Trial Practice and First Amendment. Prior to law school, Alex attended the University of Concordia, Ann Arbor, where he graduated with honors, earned the Distinguished Scholar Award, and was named an Academic All-American while playing for the Concordia Cardinals baseball team.
Alex returns to Myers & Myers after practicing law in Downtown Detroit. His extensive experience successfully handling a variety of multifaceted real estate, commercial, and constitutional matters enables him to provide his clients with representation at the highest level.
