Attorney Stephen Bruce Bley
Mr. Bley is a principal of the firm. He practiced law with his father prior to his father’s retirement in 1985 and now practices with his daughter and law partner, Samantha Bley DeJean.
Mr. Bley is known for his ardent and aggressive client representation, earning him the reputation as a venerable opponent by his colleagues. Mr. Bley’s legal career began as a deputy district attorney in 1967 for the City of San Francisco where his legendary courtroom experience took hold. While trying numerous complex criminal cases, including multi-defendant murder cases as well as many high stakes business and tort cases, the skilled and theatrical style for which he is well known today was born.
Mr. Bley’s practice is focused almost exclusively on high-asset, high-conflict dissolutions, although he still practices some general civil litigation as well as limited white collar criminal defense.
Mr. Bley’s nearly 50 years of experience allows him the ability to see complex dissolutions from all angles. While every case is unique, the breadth of his experience allows for creative solutions to difficult problems.
Attorney Samantha Bley Dejean
Ms. Bley DeJean is a principal of the firm. She is a fourth-generation member of the Bley and Bley firm, currently practicing together with her father and law partner, Stephen Bruce Bley.
Ms. Bley DeJean specializes in all aspects of marital dissolutions, focusing on complex family law trial work. Ms. Bley DeJean is a Certified Family Law Specialist with the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys.
Ms. Bley DeJean was recognized as on the 2024 Forbes Top 200 Lawyers and has been named a Super Lawyer for more than a decade by San Francisco Magazine. Ms. Bley DeJean frequently lectures for family law oriented continuing legal education courses. Ms. Bley DeJean has earned the top professional rating by her colleagues via Martindale-Hubbell as AV.
Outside of law, Ms. Bley DeJean has sat as a past Board of Trustee member for San Francisco University High School, Katherine Delmar Burke School and Saint Luke’s School (now known as SLS).
Ms. Bley DeJean received her B.A. in History from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1993 and Juris Doctor from University of San Francisco in 1996. Ms. Bley DeJean participated as a published author and staff member of the USF Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court program.
Attorney Stefani Radist
Ms. Radist joined Bley and Bley in 2018 after practicing at a boutique family law firm in Chicago, Illinois, where she successfully represented clients in all areas of family law. Ms. Radist is a Certified Family Law Specialist with the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and she has been named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2018 (Illinois), and 2019 - 2023 (Northern California). Ms. Radist is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Illinois.
Ms. Radist has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since 2013 with consistent success representing clients in complex and contested financial & custodial matters. Ms. Radist has dedicated her practice to protecting her clients' interests and helping clients find viable solutions to their individual family situation. Ms. Radist represents clients in all areas of family law, with specific expertise regarding dissolution of marriage proceedings involving child custody, visitation, support, property division, reimbursement claims, complex divorce-related financial issues (often arising in high asset dissolution matters) and post-judgment issues.
Ms. Radist graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology. She earned her Juris Doctor, as well as a Certificate in Family Law, at DePaul University College of Law. While at DePaul, Ms. Radist was a recipient of a family law fellowship from the Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP Family Law Center. Ms. Radist was awarded a CALI Award for Future Excellence for her dedicated work in DePaul's Family Legal Clinic and E-Discovery course.
Attorney Sara Leung
Ms. Leung joined Bley and Bley in 2020 after exclusively practicing family law in California for seven years. She earned a Master of Laws degree from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2012 after achieving a Bachelor of Law Degree (equivalent to a J.D.) and Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Hong Kong in 2011 and 2009 respectively.
Throughout her practice, Ms. Leung has represented clients in all aspects of family law including prenuptial agreements, dissolution proceedings, and post-judgment enforcement issues. She began her legal career as an attorney at the Family Violence Law Center helping survivors of domestic violence obtain restraining orders and representing them in custody and visitation proceedings. Ms. Leung also prepared court orders for self-represented family law litigants through the Alameda County Bar Association’s Family Law Day of Court program.
Ms. Leung is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin and can read and write both traditional and simplified Chinese.
Attorney Christina Brownlie
Christina Brownlie graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and Psychology in 2012. After college, Ms. Brownlie returned home to the Bay Area and attended the University of San Francisco School of Law as a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient, where she earned her Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Employment Law in 2015. While at USF, she was a Senior Editor of the USF Maritime Law Journal and worked for a firm in San Francisco where her primary focus was family law.
Ms. Brownlie joined Bley and Bley in 2021 after exclusively practicing family law at boutique firms in both Oakland and San Francisco, where she successfully and diligently represented clients in all areas associated with the practice of family law. Since 2017, Ms. Brownlie has volunteered to prepare court orders for self-represented family law litigants through the Alameda County Bar Association’s Family Law Day of Court Program.
Attorney Brittany Natali
Ms. Natali graduated cum laude from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2020. While in law school Ms. Natali worked part time at a boutique family law firm in New York and was a published author for The Journal of Global Rights and Organizations and Impunity Watch News at Syracuse University.
Prior to earning her Juris Doctor, Ms. Natali earned a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, where she graduated with honors. After graduating from law school, Ms. Natali worked full time as a Law Clerk under the Honorable Candido Rodriguez while simultaneously starting her own Bar Examination and Law School tutoring business.
Ms. Natali is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of New York.
Attorney Sophia Wood Henderson
Ms. Wood Henderson is a Certified Family Law Specialist. She has been practicing family law exclusively for nine years. She has represented clients in San Mateo, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties and appears in public courthouses as well as in front of private judges. Ms. Wood Henderson is trained to advise and represent clients throughout all phases of the dissolution process, including mediation, negotiated settlements, and litigation. She represents clients on issues involving spousal support, child support, business valuations, reimbursements claims, property division and child custody.
Ms. Wood Henderson has been named to Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2020, 2021 and 2022. She currently provides pro bono services to self-represented family law litigants through San Mateo County’s Day of Court volunteer attorney program. Ms. Wood Henderson is a member of the San Mateo County Bar Association and mentee of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Attorney Aisling O'Reilly
Ms. O’Reilly joined Bley and Bley in 2024 after moving to San Francisco from London. Ms. O’Reilly is a member of the State Bar of California and is also licensed to practice in England and Wales. Prior to moving to California, Ms. O’Reilly practiced as a Senior Associate at a top London firm, specializing in family law. She was named a Key Lawyer in 2022 and has a number of published articles in the Family Law Journal (England and Wales).
Ms. O’Reilly’s practice has been exclusively in the area of family law since 2019 with a focus on high net worth separation disputes, property division and multi-jurisdictional cases.
Ms. O’Reilly graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Law (Jurisprudence) and completed her legal studies at BPP Law School with a distinction in the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
