Byetta Side Effects

Full Video Transcript

Serious side effects have been linked to Byetta, a drug used to treat adults with type 2 diabetes. Some side effects are life-threatening and include pancreatic cancer, typhoid cancer, acute renal failure, and acute hemorrhagic or necrotizing pancreatitis. Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer is difficult to diagnose until it’s often impossible to treat. As with other drugs, there are also less serious side effects associated with Byetta. The most common include nausea vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, feeling jittery, and acid stomach.
