Date rape is a serious subject. Although slight differences may vary by state, date rape is generally defined as forced sexual intercourse against the victim’s will, within the context of a dating or social relationship. There’s a lot of confusion about date rape, so it’s probably best to follow some general guidelines before heading out on a date. For starters have an open discussion about your feelings and where you hope that they will lead. If you’re looking for sex, make it as clear as possible from the get go. If you two are you new to each other, don’t mix sex and drinks because most people overstep their limits when they’re drunk. And finally, rape is a criminal act. It should never be taken lightly. So above everything, set this rule in stone — no means no.
