Attorney Carrie J. Fulton-Brown
Carrie Fulton Brown, our Managing Attorney at Vindicate, is one of the best criminal defense attorneys in Western Washington. Her skill set is unlike most when it comes to trial advocacy. Of course, trial preparation and discovery are important, but those things can be taught. One element to a lawyer that is not always teachable is the talent and expertise that takes place in a courtroom during trial. Ms. Fulton-Brown’s natural instincts are addicting to watch during trial – juries pay attention, trust what she is saying, and she thrives under pressure.
Ms. Fulton-Brown takes full advantage of the law and tactfully applies it to her defense practices for her clients. She has secured numerous acquittals at trial and not guilty verdicts for her clients. Putting it frankly, she has nearly a decade of obtaining amazing results for her clients.
“Criminal charges are high-stakes and emotional. Allegations have a devastating impact on the accused if not handled correctly.” says Ms. Fulton-Brown. She believes that every client should have a complete understanding of their rights and as an attorney, she makes it her responsibility to provide all her clients with a road map to getting their life back.
After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, Ms. Fulton-Brown earned her Masters’ degree in Public Administration in 2007. In 2010, she went on to graduate from Seattle University with her Juris Doctorate. While in law school she was a contributor to the Journal for Social Justice. In addition to the many continuing legal education courses she attends regularly, Ms. Fulton-Brown completed the prestigious Trial College at the University of Virginia.
Attorney Timothy L. Healy
Mr. Healy, a member of the Washington State Bar Association, US District Court for Western Washington and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, is a partner at Vindicate Criminal Law Group. Mr. Healy has practiced criminal defense law in Washington State since his graduation from law school in 1995. He limits his practice to criminal defense in pre-charging, pre-trial and trial practice.
Mr. Healy obtains very good outcomes defending criminal cases. He has taken many serious criminal cases to trial, which include charges of domestic violence, assault and sexual assault. In many trials, Mr. Healy obtained not guilty verdicts and hung juries. In some instances, he was able to convince prosecutors to decline filing charges or to have charges dismissed prior to trial. While this is no guarantee of a successful outcome in a future case, it is a measure of his effectiveness as a litigator.
There are many facets to a criminal case where your advocate needs to be exceptional: pre-charging, pre-trial, trial and post-trial/sentencing. Mr. Healy believes the key to successful defense of a client is thorough investigation combined with extensive courtroom experience and formidable trial skills. In part, Mr. Healy has honed these skills throughout his more than two decades of experience as a criminal defense lawyer by keeping up with cutting edge developments in the law and completing the National Institute of Trial Advocacy at the University of Virginia.
He is now using his experience to strengthen and bolster his associate attorneys with dominating criminal defense practices. He often preaches that a good criminal defense lawyer must be more knowledgeable about the facts of the case than anyone else in the courtroom. “When it comes to trial, you must be the most prepared person in the courtroom.” Tim says.
Attorney Connor Jepson
Connor Jepson is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the United States District Court – Western District of Washington and limits his practice to criminal defense.
Mr. Jepson understands the complexity of the court system and how stressful being accused of a crime can be. He prides himself on his ability to condense information into an easily digestible format for the client and the court. When he starts a project, Mr. Jepson sees it through to its end and thrives on achieving the best client experience. In addition, Connor is well-liked and well-respected by his clients, colleagues, and judges.
Mr. Jepson was born and raised in Southeast Alaska. He left Alaska for sunny California to achieve his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Humboldt State University. After graduation, Mr. Jepson moved to Washington State to attend Gonzaga University – School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor, cum laude.
When Connor is away from the office, he loves to travel, spend time outdoors, hang out with his kitten, Simon, win backyard badminton championships, and spend time with his family.
