Retacco Law Offices is a family firm that was started in 1971. Attorney Vince Retacco started the firm and was later joined by daughters Becky Retacco Soffer and Wendy Retacco. Today, Wendy and Vince are the primary attorneys. Vince has been practicing since 1969, and Wendy has been practicing since 2000. $745,000 Motor Vehicle Collision - Our 15 year old client was severely injured with multiple facial fractures, lung contusion, and clavicular fracture. However, his primary injury was a traumatic brain injury. His parents also had claims for loss of consortium. A lawsuit was filed but we were able to settle the case before trial at mediation.
$1,200,000 Motor Vehicle Collision - Our client was a 42 year old man who struck by a taxi while riding his motorcycle in Las Vegas just off the strip. He sustained a traumatic brain injury, broken clavicle and several other fractures. A lawsuit was filed but we settled the case prior to trial in mediation.
$1,000,000 Motorcycle vs. Car Collision - This case involved a car vs. motorcycle collision. Our client was on the motorcycle and he was hospitalized for several weeks, had a significant wage loss, and received a disability rating from his orthopedic surgeon due to the extensive damage to his leg. This case settled in mediation.
$18,000 Low Impact Motor Vehicle Collision - This is an example of one of our smaller cases, but no less deserving of our time and efforts. Our client was a 48 year old man who was rear-ended while stopped at a stop light. He had whiplash-type injuries which resolved within approximately 4 months. This case was won in arbitration.
$55,000 Motor Vehicle Collision - This case involved a client that was “T-boned” in his vehicle. He had a significant shoulder injury and required medical treatment and physical therapy. The case went to arbitration after filing a lawsuit and although we obtained a favorable award, the defense appealed the decision. The case went to a jury trial where we obtained a verdict even larger than the award given by the arbitrator.
