Buffy earned a Bachelor of Science from Lamar University in 1993, followed by a Master of Arts from the University of Houston in 1997, and a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2002. While in law school, she was recognized for her achievements in moot court, winning national awards. She has received numerous honors including being elected to the Order of Barristers and Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, and receiving the Shea Lynn Maloney Advocacy Award and the T. Gerald Treece "Heart of the South Texas Advocate" Award.
From 2002 to 2006, Buffy worked at O'Quinn, Laminack & Pirtle, focusing on mass tort litigation, notably involving the "fen-phen" diet drug. Russ Brudner- Associate

Susan Earnest- Associate

Marlo Fischer- Associate
