Attorney Stephanie Johnson
Education:
Ms. Johnson graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice in 2005 and earned her Juris Doctorate from Nashville School of Law in 2011.
Experience:
Ms. Johnson served as a prosecutor for the State of Tennessee for over seven years. For three years, she exclusively handled domestic violence, aggravated assault, stalking, harassment, and order of protection matters in Putnam, White, DeKalb, and Cumberland Counties.
Ms. Johnson was then assigned lead Assistant District Attorney in DeKalb County, as such she negotiated and managed all criminal offenses charged in DeKalb County, and successfully prosecuted over fifteen criminal trials.
Attorney Bruce Alexander MacLeod
Education:
Mr. MacLeod obtained his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Tennessee Technological University in 2008 after being Honorably Discharged from the Marine Corp in 2003. He received his Juris Doctorate from Nashville School of Law in 2012.
Experience:
Mr. MacLeod served as an Assistant District Attorney for over seven years. For two years he was tasked with the job of prosecuting DUIs. During that time, Mr. MacLeod negotiated over 1,000 DUI cases.
Mr. MacLeod was quickly promoted to lead prosecutor in White County, where he was entrusted with overseeing all cases. Mr. MacLeod has successfully tried over 20 jury trials, including more than 10 DUI trials
Attorney Victor Hugo Gernt III
Education:
Mr. Gernt obtained his B.S. degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2003. In 2013, he earned his Juris Doctorate, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee.
Experience:
For six years, Mr. Gernt served the citizens of the 13th Judicial District as an Assistant District Attorney General in Putnam, Cumberland, White, and Dekalb counties. During that time, he handled countless cases ranging from theft to homicide, winning over fifteen jury trials. Most Recently, Mr. Gernt served in a specialized role, tasked with prosecuting child sexual abuse.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Gernt serves as an adjunct professor for Vol State Community College, teaching the fundamentals of constitutional law in the legal process.
