Attorney Teresa G. Donnellan
Teresa G. Donnellan is the managing partner of DONNELLAN & KNUSSMAN, PLLC. Attorney Donnellan is a graduate of Albany Law School and has been admitted to the New York State Bar since 1992. Ms. Donnellan commenced her career with the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County wherein she worked for the Law Guardian and Family Court Bureaus. After leaving Legal Aid, she joined the law firm of Schoenberg & Associates in Saratoga Springs where she continued to practice in the areas of family and matrimonial law until 1996, when Teresa formed her own practice known as The Donnellan Law Firm. In 2008, DONNELLAN & KNUSSMAN, PLLC, was formed when Attorney Donnellan and Attorney Amy J. Knussman became partners. DONNELLAN & KNUSSMAN, PLLC continues to represent clients in the areas of family and matrimonial law, both in litigated court proceedings and collaborative law matters. Teresa has been a member of the Saratoga County and Warren County Attorney for Children panels throughout her career in the Capital District and served as the Saratoga County Attorney for the Child Liaison.
Teresa is an active member of multiple area organizations such as: the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, the Saratoga County Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, and the Collaborative Divorce Association of the Capital District. She has been mentioned twice in the Saratoga Business Journal for her work with the Collaborative Divorce Association of the Capital District. Teresa is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Open Arms Adoption Agency. She has had the honor of being requested to speak to foster parents at Northeast Parent & Child Society regarding the role of Attorneys representing children in Foster Care, as well as SUNY Albany students earning a Master’s Degree in Social Work concerning the role of Attorneys for Children and the New York State Court System, and to members of the local bar association with respect to ethics and the field of matrimonial law.
Attorney Donnellan continues to mentor students from Albany Law School who desire to learn about the field of Matrimonial and Family Law.

Attorney Katherine L. Mastaitis
Katherine L. Mastaitis is a Partner with DONNELLAN & KNUSSMAN, PLLC. Attorney Mastaitis is a graduate of Syracuse University, having received a B.S. with a dual major in History and Political Science. Attorney Mastaitis received her Juris Doctorate from City University School of Law and has been admitted to the New York State Bar since 2005. Ms. Mastaitis commenced her law career with Children’s Services (formerly “ACS”), Legal Division in the Bronx wherein she prosecuted neglect and abuse matters on behalf of the agency. After leaving Children’s Services, Kate joined the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York, Inc., Saratoga Springs Office where she represented indigent clients in various family court matters in Warren Family Court in her role assigned to the Warren County Family Court Public Defender Conflict Grant.
Kate has been a presenter at the Saratoga County Department of Social Services Foster Parent Panel Night and has lectured at various Continuing Legal Education programs. Kate is also a member of the Saratoga County Bar Association. She represents clients in the area of family and matrimonial law and is former member of the Board of Directors at the Capital District Child Care Council.

Attorney Sarah I. Wood
Sarah has worked at Donnellan & Knussman, PLLC since January 2013. She handles matrimonial and Family Court actions as well as real estate closings and estate matters. Sarah is also trained as a Collaborative Divorce Attorney.
Sarah is a 2008 graduate of Albany Law School and a 2002 graduate of Lehigh University. She was admitted to practice in both the New York and U.S. District Court Northern District of New York bars in 2009. Sarah has appeared in local and state courts. She has handled family and matrimonial matters, personal injury matters, civil litigation matters, as well as criminal cases. Sarah has also engaged in appellate work and has successfully argued before the New York State Court of Appeals.

Sarah is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Association for the Capital District and has sat on the board as a Membership Director (2013-2015) and as the Director of Marketing (2016-2018). She is also a graduate of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, class of 2013. Sarah has also served as the Chairwoman of the Saratoga County Young Republicans and continues to serve as the Chairwoman of the Ballston Republican Committee.
Attorney Kathleen A. Nielson
Kathleen A. Nielson is an associate with DONNELLAN & KNUSSMAN, PLLC. Attorney Nielson graduated from Albany Law School and was admitted to the New York State bar in January, 2015. Ms. Nielson joined DONNELLAN & KNUSSMAN, PLLC in March, 2013 when she began working for the firm as a Law Clerk during her second year of law school. While at Albany Law School, she had the opportunity to intern at Seneca County Courthouse and the Office of Children and Family Services in the Childcare Bureau. Kat Nielson received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Syracuse University in 2011.
Attorney Nielson practices family and matrimonial law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Adirondack Women's Bar Association. Kat currently serves on the board of the Adirondack Women's Bar Association as the Vice President/President Elect and will serve on the 2016-17 board as the President.
