Attorney Kaefer Garcia
Kaefer J. Garcia earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University with high honors and his Law Degree from Rutgers School of Law—Newark, where he was a Production Editor on the Rutgers Race & Law Review, Recipient of the Rutgers Merit Scholarship, Hispanic Bar Association Scholarship, and Whitman Family Scholarship. While at Rutgers School of Law—Newark, Mr. Garcia served as a Minority Student Program Co-Chair for two years and Co-Chair of the Association of Latin American Law Students for one year.
Mr. Garcia is admitted to the New Jersey and New York State Bars. He has acquired extensive experience in many areas of law while interning and working at the Newark Prosecutor’s Office, Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, serving as the Union City Tenant Advocate, Union City Public Defender, and working at several area private law firms.
Attorney Shaheen Negit
Shaheen Negit earned his Bachelor’s from Rutgers University where he graduated cum laude with honors while majoring in Political Science. He went on to obtain his Law Degree from New England Law | Boston. During his studies, Mr. Negit excelled in Immigration Law, Family Law, Legal Research & Writing, Clinical Evidence, and Trial Practice.
While Mr. Negit attended law school, he interned and worked at the District Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts, Bergen County Public Defender’s Office in New Jersey, and at an immigration law firm in New Jersey. After graduating from law school, he went on to obtain his bar licenses in the State of New Jersey and the State of Minnesota. As an associate attorney in Minnesota, Mr. Negit attained experience in family law by preparing summons and petitions, handling formal and informal discovery matters, attending initial case management conferences, and mediation. Upon returning to his home state of New Jersey, he acquired experience in immigration law by preparing family-based petitions, employment-based petitions, claims for asylum, and more.
Mr. Negit was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. As a life-long resident of New Jersey, he holds the state very close to his heart. Mr. Negit’s passion is to help prepare relentlessly for his clients and to assure he works tirelessly for each of them. His greatest strengths are his attention to detail, establishing a close working relationship with his clients, and finding solutions to the most complex legal issues.
Attorney Leann Stanick
Leann is a New York City based attorney who practices immigration and human rights law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women’s Studies from the University at Albany, and graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law having earned an International & Comparative Law Certificate. Eager to expand upon her expertise in human rights, Leann went on to complete the Advanced Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law Diploma Program at American University Washington College of Law.
Throughout her studies, Leann completed internships at the UN-mandated Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Caribbean Law Clinic, an immigration law firm, and study abroad programs in Rwanda, South Africa, and the Cayman Islands. Upon passing the Bar and prior to co-founding her first law practice, Leann immersed herself in the field of litigation, first at an international law firm and then with a multinational professional services firm. At that point in her career, she chose to use her professional and interpersonal skills to build a practice that effectively services immigrant families, young professionals, and international corporations.
Leann was born in Trinidad and Tobago, and raised between the islands, New York City, and New Jersey. Her passion for serving migrant communities stems from personal experiences with U.S. immigration, cross-border settlement, and overcoming a series of related obstacles. Resilient and purposive, Leann achieves the most favorable outcome for her clients by forming creative solutions to complex legal issues. Having navigated the immigration system herself, she provides invaluable insight and expert guidance.
Stephanie O'Neill
Stephanie O’Neill is an associate attorney at Garcia Law, LLC in Hackensack, New Jersey. Ms. O’Neill focuses her practice on family law and divorce matters, representing clients in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Passaic counties, and throughout northern New Jersey.
Raised in Queens, New York, Ms. O’Neill graduated from Fairfield University with a bachelor’s degree and went on to earn her law degree from Rutgers Law in Newark, New Jersey. She holds licenses to practice law before the state courts of New Jersey and New York.
