Attorney Max A. Keller
Max Keller is the founding partner at Keller Law Offices. He focuses his practice on defending clients facing criminal charges, including DWI, sex crimes, drug crimes, and probation violations.
After graduating from law school in Washington, D.C., Max Keller clerked for three judges at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, which allowed him to study many briefs and see many oral arguments. Mr. Keller then prosecuted DWI’s in the Attorney General’s Office for about five years, including handling many appeals. In 2003, Max left the Attorney General’s Office to go into private practice. He worked as a part-time public defender in Southwestern Minnesota for the first year and half after leaving government service, as well as having a busy private law firm representing individuals in criminal, bankruptcy, immigration, and family law matters. Since 2004 he has focused his firm exclusively on criminal defense.
Max strives to obtain dismissal of charges or reduced charges. In fact, he has been able to obtain dismissals of charges ranging from felony criminal sexual conduct to misdemeanor DWI before trial. In addition, he has tried jury trials in areas across the state from Noble County to Martin County to Scott County and Hennepin County. He has won jury trial cases in misdemeanor and felony cases and in DWI’s and non-DWI’s. He is a member of the Minnesota Society for Criminal Justice, which only allows the top 50 criminal defense attorneys in the state as members. He is a frequent speaker at CLE’s and is often asked for advice by other defense attorneys across Minnesota.

Attorney Barry S. Edwards
I try cases from misdemeanors to murder, and I don’t back down. If you want an advocate who can negotiate a hard bargain or take your case all the way to trial, Barry’s got your back.
A member of the exclusive Minnesota Society for Criminal Justice, National College of DUI Defense, and multiple-time selection as a Super Lawyer, my expertise has been recognized and rewarded over and over. I have also taught litigation strategy, especially in DWI cases, many times to lawyers all over the state of Minnesota.
I have worked in criminal law, family law, administrative appeals, and many other areas of law in counties throughout the metro area for nearly two decades.
I am admitted to the state and federal courts, and am a member of the Hennepin County and Minnesota State Bar Associations. I also have Court of Appeals experience, and I have written amicus briefs for the Minnesota Supreme court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
I grew up in Oklahoma. I graduated with a B.A. from Grinnell College in 1987 with a degree in English. I worked in Washington, D.C. as a managing editor of the “Ripon Forum,” a bi-monthly journal of politics. I went on to earn a Ph.D in English from the University of Minnesota, in 1995, and taught English at local colleges and universities for several years before beginning law school.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School (cum laude), I clerked at the Hennepin County District Court as the law clerk for then Chief of the Civil Division, Hon. Gary Larson, and later for Hon. Diana Eagon.
My interests — other than the law, civil liberties, and defendants’ rights — include rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, running (five-time Twin Cities Marathon finisher!), playing very low stakes poker, and listening to early 1970s rock.
