Attorney Robert F. Mills
Robert F. Mills is a life-long resident of the Cape and prominent member of the Wampanoag Tribe, growing up in Falmouth and currently residing in Mashpee, Massachusetts. He is a double Eagle, graduating from Boston College, Cum Laude, in 1980 and Boston College Law School in 1983.
He was a founding member and editor of what is now the Boston College Journal of Law & Social Justice and published a recognized article entitled The Indian Child Welfare Act: The Massachusetts Dilemma.
From 1983 to 1985, Rob was an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia where he was responsible for misdemeanor trials and felony probable cause hearings.
In 1985 Rob joined the law firm of Smith & Connolly, P.C. in Falmouth, Massachusetts, as Partner, where he handled all aspects of civil and criminal litigation and appellate briefs.
From 1990 to 2019, Rob was a senior counsel with the law firm of Wynn & Wynn, P.C.
From 2009 to the present, Rob has served the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Court, first as a Supreme Court Judge, hearing lower court trials by special designation and later as the Acting Chief Judge responsible for the development of Tribal Rules of Civil, Criminal, and Appellate Procedures and all aspects of court administration.
From 1988 to 2003, he served as General Counsel to the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah), and was responsible for land into Trust acquisition, negotiation of gaming compact in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, MEPA & NEPA review of projects, lead negotiator of Tribe/State Agreement concerning Indian Child Custody proceedings between State and Tribe.
Attorney Michael Princi
Michael Princi was admitted to the Massachusetts and Federal District Court Bar in 1975. He is locally and state-wide recognized as one of the top litigators in Barnstable County and Eastern Massachusetts. Michael focuses his practice on Personal Injury and Civil Litigation and has extensive experience in other general practice litigation such as Family Law, Real Estate, and Estate matters.
Michael graduated from Bowdoin College in 1969 and Northeastern University School of Law in 1975. From 1969 to 1972, he served on active duty in the United State Navy, including a tour in Vietnam in 1971.
While in law school and most of his legal career, Michael continued to serve his country in the reserves. In 1978, he transferred from the Navy to the Massachusetts Air National Guard, where he served as Staff Judge Advocate for the 102nd Fighter Wing and in 1990 for the MA Air Guard, retiring in 1999 as a full Colonel.
While serving as SJA, he handled several complex legal matters relating to the environmental clean-up at Otis ANGB. Toward the end of his military career, he lectured commanders nationally on environmental compliance.
Michael was active in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy on Trial Attorneys where he served on the Board of Delegates for many years. He presented continuing education programs on automobile accident cases and real estate litigation.
For eight years Michael served the Joint Bar Committee for Judicial Appointments, two as chairman. As part of his commitment to the ethical practice of law, he was a hearing officer and represented indigent attorneys for the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers.
Over his forty-five (45) year-career, he has recovered millions of dollars for accident victims and represented businesses and individuals in real estate, probate, and business litigation. He has appeared and presented hundreds of cases before Superior, District, Land, and Probate Courts.
Attorney Gerald S. Garnick
Gerald S. Garnick (Jerry) graduated from American International College in Springfield 1965. Following graduation, he pursued his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University of Law School and became a lawyer in 1968. He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and the Federal District Court of Boston, MA.
After completing basic training with the United States Army and during his time in the Army Reserves, he became employed by Pike and Pike Attorney’s at Law in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1969 he became associated with Morris Goldman of Brewster, Massachusetts and in 1973, opened a law office in Hyannis, MA specializing in civil litigation, business transactions, and domestic relations. In 2014 he focused his legal skills on mediation. In 2016, Jerry reconnected with his former partner, Michael Princi, and now practices with Princi Mills Law PC.
Jerry’s career has been varied and exciting. In 1986 he created new Massachusetts law, which allowed the second highest bidder at a foreclosure to be the successful bidder if the highest bidder defaulted.
Jerry’s accomplishments include establishing the Ridge Club, successfully representing clients in real estate transaction, business buy and sell transactions, divorce matters, probating of Wills and Estates, Will contests, construction disputes and various other litigation matters.
Jerry is well recognized locally for his service to the Town of Yarmouth (Board of Health), the Cape Cod Symphony for forty-seven (47) years as a board member, committee chair, Vice President, and President. He also served on the Board of the Cape Museum of Fine Arts as well as the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. Jerry was an active participant in the Supreme Judicial Courts Racial and Ethnic Bias Committee which examined discriminations within the Massachusetts Court system, helping to establish the Rules and Regulations requiring interpreters where necessary. In addition, Jerry was a co-founder of the Cape Cod Ski Club, which today boasts a membership of almost 500 Cape Cod residents.
