Attorney Hayden Sweat
Hayden Sweat is a partner and attorney at Sweat & Griffee Law Firm. Hayden was born and raised in Bullitt County, where he continues to live with his wife, Morgan. Hayden attended Bullitt East High School and was a member of the 2011 State Final Four Basketball team. Hayden attended Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. Following Law School, he worked as a staff attorney for Bullitt Circuit Court Judge, Rodney Burress. In January of 2019, he was appointed as the City Attorney for the City of Mt. Washington and has served in that position since. Hayden also represents the City of Lebanon Junction.
Hayden focuses his practice on real estate law, estate planning, probate, and personal injury. He has vast experience with municipalities and economic development. He regularly appears before planning commissions, board of adjustments, and city council meetings.
Hayden enjoys playing golf, watching football, volunteering in his community, spending time with his family, and making sure the people of Kentucky have the legal support they need.
Attorney Peyton Holmes Porter Griffee
Peyton Holmes Porter Griffee is a partner and attorney at Sweat & Griffee Law Firm. Mr. Griffee was born and raised in Mount Washington, where he continues to live today with his wife Caitlin. Mr. Griffee attended Georgetown College and the University of Louisville Brandeis School of law graduating from both cum laude. During law school, Mr. Griffee was a member of the National Moot Court Team and an Ordered Liberty fellow. He also gained experience with a wide range of civil litigation as a clerk for the Zoppoth Law firm in Louisville, and later as a clerk for Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s civil division.
Following law school Mr. Griffee worked as a prosecutor at the Hardin County Attorney’s Office in Elizabethtown, successfully conducting his own Jury and bench trials, and gaining invaluable courtroom experience. Mr. Griffee also serves as an Officer in the United States Army Reserve, serving as a Judge Advocate. In this role, Mr. Griffee is able to serve his country utilizing his legal skills.
