Attorney Darren K. Mexic is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and Tennessee. He received his B.A. from Western Kentucky University in 2000, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and his J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2003.
Since 2003, Darren has practiced law in Bowling Green, Kentucky and all surrounding counties, including Middle Tennessee. His practice includes Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Chapter 13 bankruptcy, automobile wrecks, personal injuries, agreed divorces, Social Security disability, wills and estate planning, probate cases, evictions, debt collection and real estate transactions. Darren has litigated cases in both Tennessee and Kentucky.
Darren has served on the Bowling Green/Warren County Bar Association Board of Directors since 2013. During that time, he was chairman of multiple subcommittees and held multiple officer positions. In 2019, Darren served as the Bowling Green/Warren County Bar Association President.
For the past several years, Darren has served on the local Credit Abuse Resistance Education committee scheduling and teaching high school seniors about the dangers of credit abuse. Mr. Mexic has also given bankruptcy and finance related lectures at Western Kentucky University and the Kentucky Bar Association Annual Convention.
Darren is a two-time Bono Publico Award recipient for donated legal services presented by the BG/WC Bar Association and Lawyer’s Care of Kentucky. He is a graduate of the 2011 class of Leadership Bowling Green and volunteered as day chairman for LBG for eight (8) years. He also manages a sixteen-unit apartment complex next to WKU’s campus.
Personally, Mr. Mexic is married and has two sons. He is a Knight of Columbus, an Eagle Scout and volunteers as a soccer and basketball coach in White House, Tennessee.
