Attorney Daniel R. Sallus
Daniel Sallus is a partner of Stone & Sallus, LLP focusing on business litigation, business and real estate transactions, estate planning, entity formations, and real estate litigation. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Daniel obtained his B.S. in Management from the Eller School of Business and a minor in Spanish at the University of Arizona. Previously he worked at a large bank where he interacted with businesses and obtained a deeper understanding of their needs.
While in college, Daniel started investing in real estate and was able to pay his way through his undergraduate studies by managing and renting the investment property.
Daniel was accepted to Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he received a merit-based scholarship. Throughout law school, Daniel was awarded both Distinguished Honor Roll and Honor Roll and was selected to clerk for the San Diego Public Defender’s Office.
Daniel has represented several tech companies, VC’s, business owners, realtors, doctors, and a wide array of professionals in both business and real estate matters. He has participated in countless court and motion hearings obtaining favorable outcomes in numerous cases.
Daniel has served as a co-author and editor for the CEB’s estate planning section’s continuing legal education. This organization serves to educate lawyers regarding new laws in estate planning and administration and how they impact distribution of assets.
Outside of law, Daniel has a passion for investing in real estate and is an active member in the South Bay community contributing his time in various community service projects. Daniel is licensed to practice law in both Arizona and California and is a member of the South Bay Bar association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Culver Marina Bar association, and Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Attorney Jason M. Stone
Jason is a lifelong resident of the South Bay, California. Having received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arizona, Jason continued on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School. He practices in the State of California and before the United States District Court. Jason is one of two founding partners of the law firm Stone & Sallus, located in the South Bay, California.
Jason practices in the areas of Real Estate, Business, and Estate Planning. The State Bar of California has recognized Jason with the “Public Service Distinction” award for his work on behalf of public interest organizations and their clients. Jason provides representation to middle market, emerging growth, and individual clients in the core areas of business, litigation, and real estate transactions.
Jason lived in Washington, D.C., and worked as a staff member for a United States Congressman, representing the Congressman in hearings, legal research, and in drafting legislation and house resolutions.
Jason served as a clerk for a Superior Court of California Judge. He spent time working for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and in private practice. Jason is a barrister in the Benjamin Arranda III, Inns of Court. He is also a member of the South Bay Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Most recently, Jason has lectured at the “On the Record” Seminar at Southwestern Law School on the practice of law and business, co-authored Continuing Legal Education articles for the State Bar Estate Planning Section on “Upcoming Laws and Their Impact”, served as a Chair for the South Bay Law Forum Constitutional Event, and lectured on Corporate Compliance and Real Estate Disputes.
Jason has participated in many mediations and arbitrations facilitating settlement for a variety of legal issues. As a litigation attorney he has successfully resolved cases both in and out of formal mediation, arbitration, and Court. Jason is a practical dealmaker and problem solver.
Attorney Adam G. Carpinelli
Adam G. Carpinelli is an associate of Stone & Sallus, LLP, focusing on business, real estate, and civil litigation.
Adam received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the California State University, San Marcos. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School with a concentration in business law and received a CALI award in white collar crime.
Prior to joining the firm, Adam was an associate at firms in Downtown Los Angeles, where he practiced general liability insurance defense litigation. Adam is licensed to practice in the State courts of California.
Attorney Blake S. Slater
Blake S. Slater has extensive experience practicing law in many diverse areas, which include general litigation, dispute resolution, estate planning, real estate, business, trust administration and probate. Mr. Slater previously worked for a national law firm representing claimants applying for social security disability benefits all over the country. Mr. Slater utilizes a practical, cost-conscious approach to deliver personalized and comprehensive counseling for every client matter.
Mr. Slater is active in the South Bay real estate community where he has conducted countless lectures and provided legal guidance to many organizations, such as the South Bay Association of Realtors, the Women’s Council of Realtors, Harcourts Hunter Mason Realty, RE/MAX, and more.
Mr. Slater graduated from Whittier Law School in May 2012 and became licensed to practice law in the State of California and the United States District Court in December 2012. Mr. Slater served as a law clerk for the Honorable James J. Di Cesare at the Santa Ana Superior Courthouse in Santa Ana, California. Mr. Slater graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in economics and a minor in business.
Attorney Gregory B. Geer
Gregory B. Geer is an associate of Stone & Sallus, LLP, focusing on business, real estate, and civil litigation.
Gregory received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with Honors, from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, where he was awarded an academic scholarship and the department’s outstanding academic achievement award. Gregory went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he was part of the Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court, competing against international teams in Washington D.C. While studying law, Gregory worked for a year as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard L. Fruin, Jr., Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court and a year for a major insurance carrier.
Prior to joining the firm, Gregory was an associate at professional malpractice and civil litigation firms in Pasadena and Downtown Los Angeles, where he worked on all and every aspect of his cases from inception to trial, as well as several appeals against the U.S. Government before the Ninth Circuit Court. This extensive gamut of practical and hands-on experience, including from the side of the court, allows him to analyze each client’s case in depth to provide tailored solutions for each new matter. Gregory is licensed to practice in the State courts of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Attorney Daryl G. Crouse
Daryl Crouse has over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur. Today, he applies real world experience and knowledge as an attorney to help small businesses, startups and entrepreneurs protect and grow their businesses.
Daryl practices in the areas of business entity formation, contracts, founder relationships, employment advice for employers, and brand/IP protection. Daryl received his Bachelor of Science degree in Small Business Entrepreneurship from East Carolina University, North Carolina. Daryl went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Purdue University Global. In 2004, Daryl advocated for a regulatory modernization of FCC rules for telecommunications relay service used by Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
Mr. Crouse oversees and manages every case directly and plans the best strategy for the maximum benefit of clients. He works to deliver results that bring results. Mr. Crouse, is also able to speak fluently with Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients in American Sign Language. He has made it possible for many people to access legal services when otherwise they would not be served.
Attorney Shenne Hahn
Shenne J. Hahn has extensive experience in litigation, having handled professional liability, insurance, construction, business, real estate, and probate cases in multiple jurisdictions throughout California.
Born and raised in Southern California, Shenne studied English Literature at UCLA, where she received departmental honors and copy edited the Daily Bruin, then earned her law degree at the University of Southern California. During her last semester of law school, she worked full-time as an extern for the Honorable Gary Taylor, judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Prior to joining the firm, Shenne practiced at civil and business litigation firms in the South Bay and Downtown Los Angeles, where she resolved matters through mediation, arbitration, trial, and on appeal. Shenne is licensed to practice in the State courts of California, the United States District Court for the Central, Southern, and Northern Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Attorney Matthew C. Chen
Matthew C. Chen is an associate at Stone & Sallus, LLP, practicing real estate law; business and corporate law; and civil litigation.
Matthew graduated from University of California, San Diego, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. Matthew obtained his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University, School of Law, where he received the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence for Legal Research and Writing, and externed as a law clerk for the Honorable JoAnne McCracken in Santa Clara Superior Court. Matthew has been licensed to practice law in the State of California since January 2019.
Prior to working at Stone & Sallus, LLP, Matthew worked in Downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach, where he represented clients at all stages of civil litigation, from inception to trial, including post-trial matters, arbitrations, and mediations. Matthew has fought for his clients in their divorce proceedings; enforced their rights as employees; prosecuted medical malpractice actions; guided his clients through their probate matters; and retrieved money which his clients have lost through a failed contract. Matthew’s extensive knowledge and experience in civil litigation has armed him with the ability to efficiently pursue his clients’ interests.
Matthew is licensed to practice law in the State courts of California, as well as the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Attorney Evan F. Anderson
Evan Anderson provides clients with strategic counsel and creative solutions regarding business and real estate litigation, real estate transactions, estate planning, trust administration, and trust and probate litigation. He listens to his clients, and achieves results by assessing critical facts and controlling legal principles to develop a comprehensive strategy.
Evan obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with honors from the University of California, Irvine, where he received two research fellowships to study the effects of tourism on Guam, and was awarded the Malinowski Prize for outstanding research and writing for his work. Evan then obtained his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Cincinnati, where he was an articles editor for the University of Cincinnati Law Review, an articles editor for Human Rights Quarterly, and a member of the Immigration and Nationality Law Review. During law school, Evan received a fellowship with the Lois and Richard Rosenthal Institute for Justice, and worked at the Ohio Innocence Project. Evan also externed for the Honorable Mark P. Painter with the Ohio First District Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining Stone & Sallus, LLP, Evan worked at an Am Law 100 firm in downtown Los Angeles where he litigated a variety of cases in state, federal, bankruptcy, and appellate courts. Evan was named a “Rising Star” in 2015-2021 by Super Lawyers magazine, and listed as part of the “Ones to Watch” by The Best Lawyers in America 2021 guide.
Evan is licensed to practice in the state courts of California, the United States District Court for the Central, Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
