Construction Worker Claims For Falls And Other Injuries

Full Video Transcript

Falls are one of the leading causes of injuries and fatalities in the construction industry, whether caused by an unprotected side wall opening, the lack of proper guardrails, improper scaffolding, misuse of ladders, defective equipment, or otherwise. Unfortunately, many times OSHA standards and other regulations that are designed to prevent such injuries aren’t followed on such job sites. Whether through workers compensation, or other litigation, injured workers may be entitled to receive substantial compensation for their injuries. Cases like these need to be investigated as soon as possible to collect evidence about the fall, particularly since job sites can change rapidly. Also, the appropriate medical care must be sought to determine the full extent of the injuries – for example, obtaining an MRI in addition to an X-ray, etc. If you’ve been injured on a construction site, you have important legal rights and should get the compensation you deserve.
