When is the final paycheck due when an employee is fired under New Hampshire law?

As per N. H. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 275:44, when an employee is fired, the employer must give a final paycheck to him or her within seventy-two (72) hours of the date of discharge, or, if the employee is laid off, on or before the next regularly scheduled pay date.
