Can A Landlord Garnish A Tenant's Wages?

Yes (in limited circumstances). A landlord may garnish the wages of a tenant if the tenant does damage to the leasehold property, and the landlord successfully sues for the recovery of those damages. This provision sees little enforcement because there are presently no Civil Procedure Rules at the State level for enforcement. Certain counties, such as Northampton County have made local rules regarding garnishment.
