Landlord/Tenant Law
Do I Have To Give Permission For My Landlord To Enter My Unit?
A tenant shall not unreasonably withhold consent to the landlord to enter the unit in order to inspect the premises, make necessary or agreed repairs, decorations, alterations or improvements, supply necessary or agreed services or exhibit the unit to prospective or actual purchasers, mortgagee, tenants, workmen or contractors. If you refuse to allow lawful access, the landlord may obtain injunctive relief to compel access or he may terminate the rental agreement. A landlord, his agents or employees may enter the unit without the consent of the tenant in case of emergency.
