What happens if a complaint is filed against me with the Vermont Board of Medical Practice?

Once the Board determines that it has jurisdiction over the allegations in the complaint, it begins its investigation. A thorough investigation is conducted and a determination is made as to whether a licensee acted unprofessionally in violation of the law. If a violation is found to have occurred then the licensee is appropriately reprimanded by the Board and sanctions may be imposed.
