What is the potential liability in a medical malpractice case in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma law allows medical malpractice plaintiffs to recover the full amount of their economic damages. Noneconomic damages are limited to $300,000 in some cases. However, if negligence or wrongful death is found in the case then there is no limit on noneconomic damages. Punitive damages are permitted so long as the damages are proportional to the defendant’s misconduct.
