Can I Keep My Home If I File Bankruptcy in Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania law does not have an explicit homestead exemption provision. A homeowner may be able to keep his or her home if the homeowner is able to satisfy the demands of unsecured creditors with other assets and if the homeowner is able to keep making regular mortgage payments. Otherwise, the homeowner may be forced to sell the home and the equity in the home can be used to pay off creditors.
