How Can a Lender Foreclose on a Property in North Dakota?

North Dakota is a judicial foreclosure state. That means that in order to foreclose on a property the lender must sue the borrower and the court must issue a judgment of foreclosure. Prior to filing the lawsuit the lender must provide the borrower with notice that the borrower intends to file a lawsuit to obtain permission to foreclose the property.
