What Public Notice Requirements are There for a Real Estate Foreclosure in North Carolina?

If a judge or court clerk determines that a foreclosure may take place on a North Carolina property then the Notice of Sale must be published in the newspaper for two consecutive weeks. The last publication of the Notice of Sale must be at least 10 days prior to the intended sale date. The Notice of Sale must also be posted on the door to the courthouse. If the foreclosure date is changed then the notice that is posted on the courthouse door must be revised.
