Can I Keep My Home If I File Bankruptcy in New Hampshire?

New Hampshire exempts $100,000 worth of equity in one’s primary residence from being used to pay unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceeding. Therefore, if a homeowner has about $100,000 or less in equity in his or her property and continues to make monthly mortgage payments in full and on time then the homeowner is likely to keep his or her home in a bankruptcy proceeding.
