What Public Notice Requirements are There for a Real Estate Foreclosure in Nebraska?

In Nebraska, the clerk of the court is responsible for providing the public with notice of a foreclosure sale. The sheriff also has specific responsibilities regarding public notice of foreclosures. The sheriff must post the Notice of Sale on the door of the courthouse and in five other public places in the county where the property is located. The Notice of Sale must also be published in the local newspaper for four consecutive weeks prior to the sale.
