In Minnesota, a foreclosure sale must take place between the hours of 9 am and sundown at a public place. Since the sheriff conduct the foreclosure sale, the sale typically takes place at the sheriff’s office but it may be in another location. The exact time, date and location of the intended sale must be published in the Notice of Sale.
