Can I Keep My Home If I File Bankruptcy in Kentucky?

Kentucky follows the federal homestead exemption laws. That means that $15,000 worth of equity in the property is exempt. If the homeowner has $15,000 or less of equity in the home and is able to keep paying the mortgage than the bankruptcy court is likely to allow the homeowner to keep the property.
