Can I Keep My Home If I File Bankruptcy in Idaho?

If a homeowner makes mortgage payments according to the schedule set up by the bankruptcy court  and does not have significantly more equity in the property than that which is allowed by the homestead exemption then the homeowner will likely keep his or her home during a bankruptcy proceeding.
Idaho homeowners are entitled to a homestead exemption of the full equity that the homeowner has in his or her home at the time the bankruptcy is filed up to a maximum of $100,000.
