Can a Lender Sue a Borrower for a Deficiency Judgment if the Lender is Still Owed Money After a Foreclosure Sale in Georgia?

If the amount earned from the foreclosure sale of a Georgia property is less than the amount owed on the loan then a Georgia lender has the right to sue the borrower for a deficiency judgment. A deficiency judgment lawsuit must be filed within 30 days of the foreclosure sale.
