What Steps are Necessary to Enter a Valid Premarital Agreement in Alaska?

The Alaska Supreme Court has recognized the validity of premarital agreements that comply with state contract law. Premarital agreements should be in writing and be signed by both parties. A prenuptial agreement will be considered valid unless it was obtained through fraud, duress or nondisclosure of a material fact or it was unconscionable at the time of execution or enforcement.
