Determining whether or not someone is an employee is a matter of law. A few examples of employees are: Corporate officers (including Subchapter S Corporations) Individuals who, under the usual commonlaw rules applicable in determining the employer/employee relationship, has the status of an employee Employees on whose earnings employers are required to pay Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Certain agricultural workers
Certain domestic workers Individuals who are considered to be employees are described in Tennessee Code Annotated (Section 507207(b)).
