A Kansas Court may award spousal support that it deems fair, just, and equitable given the situation. Maintenance may be in a lump sum, in periodic payments, on a percentage of earnings or on any other basis. No single order of maintenance may exceed 121 months. However, the parties may request subsequent awards of spousal support in certain circumstances. (Kansas Statutes Chapter 60, Article 16, Section 1610(b)(2))
