When is Spousal Support or Alimony Awarded in Arkansas?

Spousal support may be granted until the spouse receiving support remarries, is in a relationship that produces a child and a court orders the other parent of that child to pay support or the spouse receiving support to pay support to another, or death. In deciding the amount of alimony, the court will consider all factors that are relevant to the fairness of the situation. (Arkansas Statute 9-12-312)
